Impacting communities through empowering Women and Girls
“She Believed” is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the empowerment of women and girls. This organization was founded in 2021 in Virginia to give women and girls the tools and resources they need to become socioeconomically successful in life. The concept “She Believed” embarks from the assertion that many women have potentials and abilities to pursue their dreams and passion, while balancing it with other societal demands.
To empower women and girls through creating opportunities for women to gain access to information that will help them develop in the areas of personal development, career, entrepreneurship, leadership, and through offered programs and mentorship in other to help them attain a financially sustainable life.
To provide opportunities through training and mentorship and help connect women and girls to resources they need to equip them to succeed socioeconomically in life. “She Believed” believes if women and girls are professionally and socioeconomically successful, they can impact their families, communities, and the world at large.
Our programs and services are open for girls ages of 13 to 20 and for women from the ages of 21 to 50. Our programs are designed to be accessed in person or virtually. Dr. Bridget Nkumbe is a high performing, analytical, and a hands-on leader, whose passion for growth (personal or professional), high productivity, and excellent outcomes is palpable. Dr. Bridget is a catalytic agent of change and is passionate about the welfare of women and girls. Having been through some life changes herself, the vision of “She Believed” came to her. She believes that when women are socioeconomically stable, they will contribute to their homes, their communities, and the world at large. She believes that girls of today are the women of tomorrow, hence, they need to be prepared to be successful in life.
Dr. Bridget has perpetually been precocious and is a nurse by profession. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Global Health Degree from George Mason University, and a Doctorate degree Nursing Practice with a Concentration in Nursing Executive Leadership from the Old Dominion University.
Dr. Bridget likes mentoring and supporting others to achieve higher heights in their professional lives and careers. She believes in aligning God’s given gifts to one’s personal or professional development and she believes commitment, consistency, accountability, and resiliency are the keys to success. Dr. Bridget resides and works in Northern Virginia.
